  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\COMPONENTS\AdvancedInstallersNeedResolving
If you want to fix the issue, try these steps below:
  1. Close all running programs, restart computer and run Windows Update again.
  2. If not work, click the “Start” button, in the search box, type “regedit”, click “regedit” program and open the “Registry Editor” windows.
  3. In the left list, double-click “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE”.
  4. Find and right-click “COMPONENTS”, and click “Export”.
  5. Type “COMPONENTS” in the “File Name” box and then save the file to desktop.
  6. In the left list of “Registry Editor” windows, find and right-click “PendingXmlIdentifier” and delete it.
  7. In the left list of “Registry Editor” windows, find and right-click “NextQueueEntryIndex” and delete it.
  8. In the left list of “Registry Editor” windows, find and right-click “AdvancedInstallersNeedResolving” and delete it.
  9. Restart omputer and try to install the updates again.
